Woodworks is a Young Enterprise Scheme company from Kerikeri High School in Northland. We have produced a stylish, ecofriendly Couch Table that will suit most homes. Our product makes having a drink on the couch so much easier!
Matthew Galbraith CEO and Productions mangager and Thomas Richards Marketing and Finance Director apart of the Young Enterprise Scheme built their company "WoodWorks" early 2019. Thomas and I, we were set a challenge from our Business Managment teacher at KeriKeri High School to create our own business and find a product, Couch Tables. We then had to get creative and find a way to make our product different from other similar Couch Tables.
Being environmentally sustainable is essential to our company. Woodworks have ensured minimizing waste in the production of our Couch Tables. We have done this by contacting our wholesaler and informing them that we want the plastic packaging removed, we have also made sure that our product is 100% recyclable by creating our product out of Metal and Wood. By doing these processes we are maintaining kaitiakitanga and sustainability towards the environment. Disposing our product will not affect the environment. In the production of our product, we will ensure that we will use wood that is of high quality.
After conducting our research, We came to the conclusion that our competitors will offer you a similar Couch Table made out of plastic for $80. But we are fairly certain that as long as our product is built to a high quality and sold at a price of $80 we will easily be able to gain a competitive advantage and gain market share in the side table market.
